Knowledge of nutrients and their function in the body is the key to good nutrition. The six nutrients --- carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, minerals and water are present in the food we eat. Each nutrient has a specific job,, growth, repair and reguate body function. Each nutrient is equally valuable. They must be present in the diet in varying amounts inorder to maintain life. When inadequate amounts are consumed a deficiency occurs resulting an imbalance. The body will become weak and vulnerable to numerous disfunctions.

A few ways to increase your energy and make your workouts more productive:
  • Eat protein at every meal, including breakfast, to stabilize your blood sugar and prevent fatiguing, or 'low-sugar' dips.

  • Never skip breakfast, it is the most important meal of the day to jump start your metabolism.

  • Eat every 3 hours, small meals, and a substantial lunch and dinner, with ie... protein shake, nuts, cottage cheese in between.

  • Avoid eating a large meal at night, it will impair your sleep. Eat Protein and greens for dinner atleast 3 hours before bed.

  • Drink lots of water!!!
